Lee Pace has come to the attention of the internet. You know him, of course,Thranduil, the elf king of Mirkwood. Thranduil has been getting a lot of attention just because he raidiates an aura of vanity and male fabulousness. You could cue Iggy Azaelia or, even better, a recent Divine Comedy parody of "I'm So Fancy," and it would still describe Thranduil perfectly. In the original book, yeah, he is a bit of a jerk. Now Lee Pace and the internet have given him a life of snobbish perfection.
No, the long, blond hair is not natural. But he actually looks pretty decent either way.
Also, don't be fooled by the accent: he's an American.

Pace appeared recently in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy as Ronan the Accuser--not nearly as good looking, but some of the fans still find something endearing in what he brought to that character as well. Not to mention, Ronan is also a vain, sassy show-off.
But die-hard fangirls know him as Ned, the Pie-Maker in Pushing Daisies. Now, I have to tell you right know, my second semester of college, two of my roommates had a Pushing Daisies marathon right before school started, and I didn't even pay that much attention. Looking back, I'm starting to wonder if the time will come if I have serious regrets about that.
So anyway, now this very important fact has been brought to your attention. Lee Pace is definitely a star to watch for the next little while.
