Hey guys,
I'm sorry I haven't been posting recently. I'm swamped with school work, and other things. Anyways, enough about me. This week, I'm going to write about parodies. Everyone loves parodies. Some people on Youtube make parodies of different movies. The one on Divergent was absolutely hysterical. There are some swears at 1:52, 2:07, but other than that, it's clean. Go onto Youtube and look up "Honest Trailers Divergent" It'll come up right away. Everything in the video is Honest Trailers's. All of it. Each second of every video. If you're looking for other HT videos, I would suggest Frozen and Lion King. Keep it locked, Katherine Hi all!
So, as faangirls we are in the anxious, total fangirl mode waiting for Mockingjay: Part One to come out on November twenty first (Two days before my birthday;)), and then on March twentieth for Insurgent to come out. I would post about THG also, but that's not my blog, so you can click the blogs button above to go to that blog. Hello everyone:)!
I am so sorry I haven't posted in so long, but I've been busy. Although, I know Katherine has been entertaining you guys with her awesome blogs for these past few weeks. As I'm sure you will notice, we are all doing the same theme this week. For Fangirl Weekly's two month anniversary, we are all doing the same thing. ANYWAYS...... Let's start this comparison, shall we? Tobias, or Four- First of all, in the book, something Veronica really focuses on is his eyes as blue as the ocean. In the movie, his eyes were most definitely as brown as fudge. And as I do love fudge, his eyes were supposed to be blue. Next, In the book, it clearly says that he is eighteen.... In the movies, I'd say he's in his mid- twenties. That's kind of a big difference since Tris is only sixteen. Tris- Well, number one, Shailene Woodley's hair is definitely more brown with blonde highlights. I don't really think there are any differences in the way Tris thinks and the way she is in the movie so.... Marlene, Lynn, Uriah, Shauna, Robert, Susan, and Zeke- They don't appear in the movie. I mean really?! Well, that's all for now my lovelies, but I may end up posting a few times this week to make up for the ones I missed. :/ Don't forget to comment and tell your friends about Fangirl Weekly. XO, Chella Hey guys,
I know a lot of what I post is about 'What if', but that's kind of my theme. You can't change the books. What if Will had lived? Would he and Christina have gotten married? Had kids? If only... maybe if Tris had made a different choice. But you can't change the past. What if is a very big statement. It describes your hopes and dreams in two words. What if. What if Tris and Tobias had gotten married? What if the factions had been dissolved a different way? What if. You can believe, dream and hope, but it all starts with the words 'What' and 'If' Keep it locked, Katherine SPOILER ALERT!
I think a part of all of us died when Tris got shot. But, so many people make up alternate endings. You can't change the book, but you CAN make up your own endings. Who's to stop you? Never give up your dreams people! Keep on dreaming. Dream about your OTPs, and your ships and YOUR true endings! Make up your own characters to help the original ones! Do what you want. After all, fangirls can dream... Keep it locked, Katherine Hey guys!
Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Things got busy. Now, we've talked about Tobias, and Tris, and Caleb, but what about everyone else? Evelyn was a mother who couldn't show her affection very well. Marcus was the father that abused his only son until his son ran away. Jeanine was the woman who did anything to finish what she started. Christina was the brave friend who always told the truth. Al was the coward who couldn't speak his thoughts. Will was the boy who tried to lift his friends spirits. Max was the follower and Eric was the leader gone astray. There are many I could mention, but each of these people played a mandatory part in Tris's journey to the outside world. What do you think would have happened if Jeanine had lived? What would have happened if Will had lived? Comment your thoughts. Keep it locked, Katherine *SPOILER ALERT* Hey guys! I have some questions for you to think about. If Caleb had gone into the death serum room instead of Tris, do you think he could have released the memory serum? If Tris had lived, how do you think she and Tobias would have lived their lives? Say your thoughts in the comments. Keep it locked, Katherine Hey Everyone!
This week, I will be blogging about, as the title says, the book versus the movie. DISCLAIMER: ****This is my honest opinion, and I know some people won't agree with it and that's fine. I also should let you know that there's some spoilers in here:). I'm just going to start by saying that, all of us fangirls and fanboys know that the book is always better than the movie, and always different. So this week, I will just be comparing. In the book: Tobias is 18 In the movie: Tobias is twenty something. In my opinion that's kind of gross. I mean, Tris is sixteen, and it says that in the movie, so for her to be dating a twenty six year old, or however old Theo is supposed to be in the movie, is... weird. I get that it's kind of hard to find a really good 18 year old actor, but I mean, look at Ansel Elgort (Caleb prior, or Augustus Waters, TFIOS). He's closer to 18, and a great actor, but after him playing Augustus Waters, would he be edgy enough? In the book: Uriah. What more do I have to say? They will add Uriah to the Insurgent movie, but, come on! Everyone who hasn't read the books will be totally lost. Like, "Who is Uriah?" "Why wasn't he in Divergent?" UGH! In the book: They know the fear landscapes aren't real In the movie: Unless you are Divergent, like Tris, or can fight off the serums like a Mad Man *coughTobiascoughcough* , you shouldn't know that the fears you are facing aren't really happening. That kind of throws everything off for the movie, because.. I don't know, it just does, okay? Being a fangirl, I could go on, and on, and on, and on...... But then this blog post would be about 50 pages. Yours 'till the cat barks, ~Chella Tobias Eaton became quite a powerful name in dystopian Chicago. His mother, Evelyn wasn't always the nicest, but she loved her son like no other.
I think parents can relate to her. They do what they think will be best for their kids, and that doesn't mean letting us suck on a silver spoon. When Evelyn separated from Marcus, it was because of abuse, but she left her son to his mercy. Why do you think she did that? Maybe because she thought that with her gone, Marcus would be a better father? This happens a lot in modern days as well. Tobias changed factions because he wanted to get away from his father. He fit in well at Dauntless, but do you think he could fit in somewhere else? He's smart enough to go to Erudite, and he would have been selfless enough for Abnegation, but what about Amity and Candor? Maybe if he'd made a different choice, Tris would have turned out differently. Maybe she would have turned out more like Eric tried to have her be. Who knows. For know, all we can do is dream Keep it locked, Katherine |
