GUYS!!! TWO WEEKS! OH MY GODS‼ I'm super excited!
*Awkward cough* So, anyway.... Nobody even tried to guess last week's quote. :( The answer is.... The Lightning Thief. It's the scene in the Saint Louis Arch. Ahh, the good old days....
So, I'm gonna do a spoiler thing here, so please don't read this if you haven't read House of Hades, which is hopefully none of you. Okay, if you're still reading this, you're either OK with spoilers or you've read House of Hades. We all know what happened with Cupid. And I'm pretty sure most of us are okay with it. To me, it's just one more reason to like Nico. And, of course, feel bad for him. But, why must Rick make all of his characters have a tragic back-story? Think about it. Annabeth- She ran away when she was seven because she didn't feel loved, her best friend got turned into a pine tree, and her first love betrayed her and then died. Leo- His mom died in a fire that Gaea made him create, he ran away from several foster homes, and ended up in a school for kids who couldn't make it anywhere else. Jason- He got taken away by Hera when he was two, grew up in a military encampment, and then got his memory wiped. Frank- His mom died, his Grandma died, and he got claimed by Mars. Hazel- She was cursed, her mom was possessed, she died, and then her brother got imprisoned. Piper- Her dad was a superstar, she felt unloved, she stole stuff just to get attention, she got sent to a school for troubled kids, and then she found out that her boyfriend had never actually been her boyfriend. Percy- He never knew his dad, he grew up with an unloving step-father and a poor mom, his mom 'died', he was the subject of the Great Prophecy, he got his memory wiped, and he fell into Tartarus. Nico- His mom died...in the 1940s, he had his memory wiped and was in the Lotus Hotel and Casino for 70 years, his sister died, he was gay, and he got imprisoned in a jar and almost died.
Yeah, Rick, you need to make some characters with happy stories now. Or else every fangirl everywhere is going to come after you.
*Deep breath* So, now the random trivia. Did you know that Kronos is Percy's Grandfather, and Gaea is his great-Grandmother? O_o Talk about complicated families. In the TV show Once Upon a Time, one of the characters, David (Prince Charming) said, "I'm glad we don't have Thanksgiving in our land 'cause that would suck." (Because of their complicated family) I think that accurately describes Percy Jackson families.
And now, the second to last Guess That Book ever.......... "Seaweed Brain, she thought giddily." That's all I'm giving you. I didn't even look in the book. If you truly are a Percy Jackson fan, then you'll know exactly what scene that is, what book it's from, and what comes next. 'Cause we all love what comes next! Please, PLEASE try to guess what book it's from. If you get it right, you'll get a SHOUT-out, and if you try, you'll get an honorable mention.
Yours in Demigodishness, Lindsay N.
