YO! Today I will give my opinion about the movies. ****Note**** These are just my opinions. Don't hate on me yo.
Characters-
Personally, the casting was beyond perfect. It was literally incredible how amazing the actors did with the characters. They are exactly how you would imagine all of them. But, the characters' personalities themselves, that's a different matter. Movie Harry, for instance. Book Harry was a little more laid-back than Movie Harry. Dan did a great job, and i understand that you can only fit so much into a movie, but Dan was always ANGST ANGST ANGST. No normal teenage stuff. However, i think he almost made up for it in SASSY aspect of it. You know what I'm talking about. All of those sassy little moments that we all love.
"Harry!" -Slughorn
"Sir!"- Harry
"You seem a little tense, Harry."-Neville
"Do I?"-Harry
Now, all of the other characters didn't have much of a problem, except maybe Ron. Because in the movies, Ron spends more time being mad at either Harry or Hermione than being friends with both of them. I mean, come on. Seriously? Just no. And the second Dumbledore. I liked the first Dumbledore a lot better. I know, it's not his fault he died, but he seemed a lot more whimsical and happy than the second Dumbledore.
Book- "Harry, did you put your name in the Goblet of Fire?" (He said calmly)
Movie- "HARRY DID YA PUT YUR NAME IN THE GOBLET OF FIYAH!!!!!?????" (he said anything but calmly)
Plot-
We all know that some of the details of the books were cut out and many of our favorite parts as well. I, personally, was very distressed to find that the Lemon Drop Scene was cut. You know.
"Would you like a lemon drop?"-Dumbledore
"A what?"-Professor Mcgonagall
"A lemon drop! It's a muggle sweet I'm particularly fond of."-Dumbledore
I LOVED that part in the book, but they didn't put it in the movie! AN EXTRA 20 SECONDS MAYBE! THAT'S ALL! Anyway, they also cut S.P.E.W., most of Dobby's important scenes, most of Kreacher's important scenes... You know, come to think of it, I think that the directors are against S.P.E.W.! They don't think elves are important! Why, i otta....
But they did a pretty good job of not cutting a bunch of really important stuff unlike some directors we know (*COUGH* PERCY JACKSON DIRECTORS *COUGH*)
Well, that's about it for this week! See you next week! Happy Watching!
